OK, I Admit it! I was watching American Idol...and Annie Lennox Reminded Me...

Heya,

I just painted my apartment a colour I really like. I’ve always made do with where I live, keeping it temporary, afraid to make it feel permanent in any way, and for the first time creating a home where I am feels really good. So, tonight I put the cable into the back of the tiny TV in the living room/music room/CTR office and realized I could get one channel clearly. Penny pinching to support my music career, I don’t waste time and money on cable..rather spend my time living than sitting infront of a colourful box to watch it do tricks.

Ok, I admit it! I was watching American Idol Gives Back and it was great to see a global empire like American Idol put their power and publicity to good. It’s really what I’ve always wanted-to create music that makes people FEEL something and replaces judgement and separation with oneness and love. If every artist used their power for good, we would be in a much better place in this world. I almost feel it is our duty...but everyone’s got different goals and dreams.

I’ve always said one of my most admired artists and performers is Annie Lennox. Oh My GOD, she got behind a piano and sang and I remembered every reason that all the work and heart I put into my career every day is worth it. I cannot begin to explain how much that woman inspires me. Her soul and voice is gigantic, unique and beautiful. If I could just remember that performance every time I hit the stage I will remain solid and strong..and maybe have a chance at making this all worthwhile.

Thank you to every person and artist who spreads their wings, taking time to see the world for what it is and bringing beauty out in it. It’s what "Perfekt World" is about to me and it’s good to know I am not alone in this dream.
