Hey There Beautiful People! I hope this letter finds you all well. I've been pestering Jim (my webmaster: www.webkirby.com) about having a newsletter page for the site and I finally got my wish! This month has begun with a BANG! My band and I have been picked up by an artist development company in Nashville who wants to record my new songs and market them to labels! It's perfect timing! We are leaving tomorrow morning to Nashville to record this weekend. I convinced the guys that they would survive the 15 hr. trip in a mini van. They are soo great! Sincerely though, I have never been happier about the groups I've worked with than I am these days. We are a great team and a great creative force. Can you tell I'm excited? So you know who the new group is, it's Raed Elkhazen-guitar, Ben Rubin-bass, Marko Djordjevic-Drums (www.svetimarko.com) and lil' me singing, writing and playing some keys.
The other big news is that Andrew Lopez, a manager I was working with in Canada, and a most inspiring person, called me out of the blue to tell me that he is on the committee for the Juno Awards (Canadian Music Awards), AND he would like me to submit my CD! SO for those of you who don't have a copy of NIGHT LIGHT yet, now's your chance to get the album that just might get nominated for a Juno. Crossing my fingers for that one!
