Make me FEEL Something...

Good Day All-Stars:)

This is Clara coming to you directly from CL Central where the grass is greener 78% of the time. Hmmm…what's rolling on my plate and on the calendar at the moment?...A Show…..A Record…A Lost Connection.

The Show
I am honoured to announce I'll be opening for true Canadian All-Star, Jann Arden and Emerson Hart of Tonic on February 23rd at Blender Theater at Gramercy, sponsored by our good friends at Fresh 102.7! It's all over their site and the radio so check it out. I used to sing Jann's songs growing up. This is very exciting for me! We also have new videos up from our last 102.7 performance with Constantine Maroulis, Edwin McCain, and Kimberly Locke, and an old fun BBP video shoot in Times Square that we finally managed to get up on facebook and youtube…Leave your comments, good or bad:)!

Saturday, February 23rd
Fresh and Live 102.7 presents Jann Arden, Emerson Hart and Clara Lofaro
The Blender Theater at Gramercy
127 E. 23rd St between Lexington and Park
doors: 7pm
for tickets: http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/310462/

The Record
..is coming along beautifully to say the least. Mark Turrigiano is truly brilliant and you are going to love it; I can feel it in my bones. Props to MT for the album he produced, "Boys and Girls" by artist Ingrid Michaelson hitting 1 on the Billboard Independent Heatseeker charts! Work it...work it budday! We are looking for people who are as excited as we are for the release of Perfekt World to help us out with online and on the street promotion. Just reply to this email for me if you are down to work it while having fun in the city, or on myspace and facebook! We need you!!

The Lost Connection
I'm not a Hollywood chaser by any means, can barely sit through a Blockbuster and have hesitated before including this in my newsletter since it's yes, unrelated the business affairs of CL life, but I've always put too much heart into everything I do anyhow and it struck a strong chord in me. The day before Heath Ledger passed I watched Brokeback Mountain for the first time and was moved by it to say the very least…the risk and the purity behind his portrayal of the role. As a person, there was something about how he didn't fit the mold; how he was so fragile but strong and helplessly intense, taking himself and his career perhaps too seriously. How he could leave himself so open for the camera no matter what the consequence that I could relate to. The inability to keep your feelings and thoughts from pouring out of you and the relief art can provide to those listening or watching for making them FEEL something. At this point in my life, I don't know what I feel about "after-life" in this great universe filled with life we know nothing of, but I would like to say that I am grateful for our world to have had him, if for too short a lifetime.

Beautiful things brewing at the risk of making You FEEL Something-anything every day.

Love and Peace,

Clara Lofaro
