CL Kills It at 102.7 Fresh In The Park with Edwin McCain, Constantine Maroulis and Kimberley Locke

I'm not one for bragging but this past performance was one I thought you all would want to know about. This saturday, I had the distinct honor of performing at the 102.7 Fresh in the Park Festival at Harry Chapin Theatre in Eisenhower Park. For those of you who don't already know, Fresh 102.7 is the fastest growing radio station in NYC playing today's best light music. Sharing the stage with me were AC superstar Edwin McCain, and American Idol Finalists Kimberly Locke and Constantine Maroulis.

Although I was virtually unknown to the crowd of 5000, they all responded very well when I opened the evening with "Dizzy Spell." I finished my set with my new song, "Waterfall" which received a rousing ovation. I believe there is a bootleg version of the performance circulating on YouTube as a matter of fact.

After my set I was greeted by a lineup of young fans waiting to meet me and take a picture. It was an unparalleled feeling having them walk up to me with either a poster or my album and asking me to sign it.

In between Edwin and Kimberly's sets, which were fantastic, Fresh 102.7 interviewed me for their website. You can check out the pics at www.fresh1027.com. Throughout the next day I heard my name on the radio being thanked for my performance. After years of hard-work in this business, I can feel the tide shifting in my favor.

I follow it all up this week with a performance at new club, Harlem, in downtown Toronto and on Sunday at the Wasaga Beach Festival. I hit the stage at 1pm right before Juno Award Winner, Tomi Swick.

I wish you all continued success in your own endeavors. Thank you for sharing in mine.

CL
